Founded in 2014, Northern Kentucky Young Republicans provides a forum where young Republican professionals can network and equips young Republicans to advocate for the principles of limited government and individual liberty.

Meet our Executive Board:

Sebastian Torres

President

Sebastian is a resident of Boone County, KY. He is a graduate of Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University and Eastern Kentucky University. He is the former youth campaign manager for Senator Rand Paul’s 2016 U.S. Senate Campaign and has since worked on dozens of campaigns across the tri-state area. When he is not working or knocking on doors for campaigns, he can normally be found hiking, golfing, or fly fishing.

Briana Conley

Vice-President

Briana Conley is a native of Floyd County and a resident of Kenton County. She is a graduate of Salmon P. Chase College of Law and a graduate of Northern Kentucky University. She has worked for Congressman Massie’s Congressional Campaign and interned with the 54th Judicial Circuit’s Commonwealth Attorney. Briana has volunteered on multiple state and local campaigns. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and live music.

Matthew Tarka

Treasurer

Matt is a native of Edgewood, KY.  He is a graduate of Dixie Heights High School 15', and is a graduate of Xavier University '18. Matt is an avid world traveler and bourbon connoisseur. Matt works in the investments industry. In his spare time he enjoys exploring all that Kentucky has to offer in terms of sights and food. Matt is passionate about British cars and serves on the Cincinnati Concours d'Elegance Advisory Board.

Steve Doan

Secretary

Steve Doan resides in Erlanger, Kentucky. Steve is an attorney who owns and operates his own law firm; he began practicing law in 2012. He previously served as General Counsel for the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy in the Bevin Administration. Prior to becoming an attorney, he attended Chase Law and graduated from Northern Kentucky University where he double majored in Economics and Business Administration. Steve has helped on numerous local and statewide campaigns. In his free time, Steve enjoys training for and competing in ultra-marathons.

TJ Roberts

Programming Chair

TJ is a resident of Boone County, KY. He is a student at Salmon P. Chase School of Law at Northern Kentucky University and a graduate of Transylvania University. He was the lead plaintiff in Roberts v. Neace, the lawsuit that declared a ban on church worship unconstitutional. TJ has worked on several initiatives to promote freedom and prosperity in Kentucky and across the nation. When he is not in class or engaged in activism, he can be found playing bass guitar or reading.

Kyle Walsh

Membership & Recruitment Chair

Kyle grew up in “The Thumb” region of Michigan. He attended college and medical school at Michigan State University before moving to Cincinnati in 2011. Kyle and his wife Katie moved to Villa Hills in 2014 where they currently live with their three kids (ages 5, 3, and 1). Kyle works as a doctor in the specialties of emergency medicine, neurocritical care, and stroke. When not working or chasing around his kids, Kyle enjoys staying active in Church-related groups and going to the gym.

Casmir Thornberry

Past-President

Casmir lives in Villa Hills, KY. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business and a first year at UC College of Law. He has done marketing and communications for GE Aviation and American Modern Insurance Group, and is political director for State representative Kim Banta. His favorite drink is Ale-8.
